We are excited to welcome new campers to start off session Three at Camp Timbercrest. The sun was beating down and helped make Timbercrest shine as parents dropped off their Girl Scouts.
When the girls first arrived, their parents helped get them settled in their Cabents. Once their parents left, every camper went down to the waterfront and completed their swim test. Each camper is graded based on their swimming capabilities. Red caps are our lowest level swimmers, blue caps are our best swimmers, and yellow caps are somewhere in between.
The night ended with the traditional Open Campfire. At Open Campfire, songs are taught to new campers, the staff creates skits, and everyone goes to sleep happy and excited to start camp.
Goodnight, Girl Scouts, and be sure to click here to see a few photos from Open Campfire.
