Everyone had a great day easing into the routines of Camp Timbercrest. The horse girls spent the morning at the barn learning the ins and outs of barn chores as well as working on their riding skills. Girls in the other programs practiced hitting the target in archery. Some of the groups also spent some time downstairs in the program center making arts and crafts to bring home with them at the end of the week.
Also Monday morning, our core campers checked in and we are very excited to have them at camp. After lunch, the girls jumped into the lake. Some looked for fish while others jumped off of the floating docks with their friends. The rest of the afternoon was spent playing gaga ball with new friends and shopping at the camp Trading Post. Last night was camper’s choice where campers will choose between tent pitching, friendship bracelets, and kickball.
