What a beautiful morning! The sun is out, flag went wonderful and breakfast was the greatest. Then…. Crash! Bang! a thunder storm has hit Camp Timbercrest. So rainy day games and arts and crafts saved the day, but look the rain as stopped. *sing* I can see clearly now the rain has gone. *sing* The horse girls tacked up quickly to get a riding lesson and archery opened back up. Sadly, it was shortened by another thunder storm, though this didn’t interrupt the duct tape girls as they played in arts and crafts.
This time the rain was on and off but the thunder stayed. So drama, arts and crafts, and board games filled in for the outside activities. The wonderful rain lasted till after dinner, and though it had stopped, the grass was still too wet for British Bulldog but volleyball and painted leaf prints were still on for camper’s choice.
Night time is here and all the units are settling in. Sprucewood is camping out for the night across the lake. Can’t wait to hear how it went and the fun stories that come from camp outs.
