Paddling, Painting, and So Much More – Session 1 Thursday

On day three of Camp Timbercrest we had so much fun with camper’s choice activities, a trash bag prom, and an all camp paint night. Campers started their day with activities of their choice such as swimming, rainbow hiking and making nature sun-catchers. As the day sped by many campers paddled around the lake, painted by the lake, and created wind-chimes out of nature materials.

After a break to recharge for afternoon activities campers participated in paddle and paint — they took their art projects to the lake! With water colors and paddles in hand, they hopped into canoes and painted their best pictures while floating on Keyser lake. During their recharge hour campers also found time to prepare for the trash bag prom that would happen at dinner.

Campers rolled in dressed to the nines in trash bag fashion for a hearty dinner of chicken, potatoes, corn, rolls and gravy. Following this delicious dinner, that they walked the red carpet to attend, campers attended a paint with Bob Ross session where they created their own version of the iconic painter’s camp fire masterpiece.

We’re looking forward to tomorrow where we will do relays, swim, practice archery and so much more. To see photos from today, follow this link.
