We were so excited to welcome campers to Camp Timbercrest today. Although our group of campers this week is small, the fun that we are already having at camp is mighty! We kicked off a week of art-themed fun by tie-dying and getting to know each other. We played games that encouraged campers to get to know each other, build community, and be present — all while having a blast. We also took a group photo that we will send home with all our campers (see below).
After a delicious dinner of pasta and meatballs we did our first art project — cookie decorating. After finding our way out of our dessert coma we headed out to opening camp fire, where we sang songs about llamas, moose, and other wild animals while dancing and laughing away. The joy that campers bring to Camp Timbercrest was contagious enough to get everyone involved. At the end of closing campfire we sent the campers to wind down and prepare for their day at camp tomorrow.
The morning brings activities such as swimming, nature walks, water toy, free boating, and so so much more — but you’ll have to tune in tomorrow to hear all about it!
