Howdy!

Today’s hot summer day included many adventures for all of the campers here at Timbercrest.

The CITs (Counselors in Training) started the day with boating. After siesta (resting time), they learned some valuable camp counselor skills, and worked on their aim at archery. Later in the evening, they had drama, and worked on their secret Friday Follies performance. Friday Follies is a talent show for the campers at the end of the week!

Boots and Spurs got creative at arts and crafts in the morning, and spent the rest of the time before lunch on the lake, in boats. After lunch, they visited the Trading Post (the camp store) and used the next few hours to ride horses at the barn.

Fairy Land cooled off in the morning swimming in the lake. They played freeze tag before lunch to get some energy out. After lunch, the campers played gaga ball and took a small hike.

Timbercrest at Night, Wild and Wacky, and Holiday Happenings visited the trading post in the morning, and then relaxed with a walk to Banana Boat (one of the camp out areas). They cooled off in the afternoon by swimming, and had the opportunity to play on the water toys.

Following dinner, the campers got to choose if they wanted to play soccer, build fairy houses, or play board games! They got to mingle with campers that are not in their units.
