Chapter 1: Sunday “Home for the Holidays”

Happy New Year!

Our story begins on a rainy summer day at the beautiful Camp Timbercrest. The raindrops danced on Keyser lake and puddles grew as staff eagerly awaited our first campers of the season. The scouts were met with smiling faces as they made their way to Bellinger Lodge. We greeted our Galloping girls, Boots and Spurs, our very own artists for the Artist in you and budding chef’s for Taco About it.

Our wonderful kitchen crew made a delightful dinner of Pork tenderloin and all the fixings to ring in the New Camp Year! However, our focal point of the evening was the gathering at our campfire where we greeted the New Year with our very own ball drop. A little rain was not going to get in the way. We sang and laughed and even danced like a llama!

We are excited to see many familiar faces and even to meet new ones. Welcome home campers, welcome home.
