Session 3 Tuesday

This week is off to an exciting start with battle of the colors. We currently are doing a battle at least once a day, but who will pull through for the overall win? Red or Blue?

Beyond The Shore, Runway Stars, and Oh Captain started off the morning with boating and drama. Then, they headed over to archery to shoot some bow and arrow. After lunch, they went down to the program center for some relaxing arts and crafts time.

The CIT”s (Counselors in Training) used the morning to shadow some of our counselors. In the afternoon, they did surveys and some more training on what being a counselor entails.

Going for the Gold, and Trail Trekkers used their morning to go on a nature walk, and then cooled off in the lake with swimming. They spent their afternoon in drama.

Boots and Spurs were with the horses at the barn all morning until lunch! They rode horses, and did barn chores. After lunch, they were able to spend some time on our amazing water toys. I hope they all got to try the slide.

The Fairies swam after breakfast, and did some arts and crafts to fill in time before lunch. In the afternoon, they did archery where they got the opportunity to use a real slingshot, and knock items down!

The battle of the colors games today were as follows. Canoe racing, campers got into boats and had to beat the other team around an obstacle in the lake (red team won). Invisible cube maze, campers had to figure out the hidden maze on a set of squares, and get their whole team through this maze (blue team won). And tower building, campers had to build the highest tower out of dry spaghetti and marshmallows (blue team won).

After that, each unit got to cook out, and create their own meal over a fire, which they had pre-decided at the beginning of the week.
