Today we welcomed a bunch of new campers to Camp Timbercrest. When they arrived, they unpacked, and headed down to the lake to take their swim tests.

Groups got to know each other by playing get to know you games, name games, and doing small crafts with each other (like friendship bracelets). Units that are working with horses took their riding tests today!

We ended the night with opening campfire, where counselors and the rest of the staff were introduced to the campers. We sang songs, danced with each other, and got a little closer as the night went on. Overall, the first day was filled with laughter, and the campers are ready to get some sleep tonight!
