Chapter 1: Wednesday “Spooktacular Fun”

Happy Halloween!

The sun broke free and danced across Keyser Lake today where the campers were able to enjoy and delve into their programs. Swimming, boating and a little water balloon action was a must on this hot day, along with another picnic.

Our budding chefs cooked up a taco bake and fruit tacos to prepare for a night of costumes, candies and a Monster Mash. Boots and Spurs took a leisurely stroll in the woods after preparing their Halloween attire. The artists continued to capture their creativity in various forms of artistic projects. The CIT’s shadowed areas and help with programs and even lead songs during dinner.

Tonight, was All Camp (where the entire camp gathers together for a special activity). We hosted a Monster Mash where the campers and staff dressed up to go Trick-or-Treating and finish the night off dancing, laughing and playing.

The visiting troops took the opportunity to cook out enjoying pie iron pizza and s’mores. While our Taco unit prepared to tent camp to enjoy this warm summer night as they rest under a waxing gibbous moon and a star filled sky.
