Happy 4th of July!

What a wonderful and beautiful summer day here at Camp Timbercrest. Our morning began with the rising of our flag during flag ceremony to begin our fourth of July festivities.

Tie dyeing, painting and making mosaic Bernadette turtles were where our artists spent their afternoon mastering their artistry skills. Our CIT’s had presentations and learned the application and interview process. However, they took those performance skills and had some fun in their Drama session.

We had a picnic lunch in fourth of July fashion when our Boots and Spurs campers broke out into a mob line dance. They did such a great job that others wanted to participate in the fun! Unfortunately, the rain has put a damper on the waterfront, but that did not stop our lifeguards from making a splash of cool fun this afternoon with a water fight! The laughter was contagious!

Finally, to close the night they had in sight campouts and some of our scouts ventured to camp out at Totem to admire the beautiful clear night sky!
